A young girl on the doorway of her home in the outskirts of Pemba, Northern Mozambique. The house is built with a frame made of canes bound together with strings obtained from used car tyres, and filled in with clay, a technique known locally as Pau a Pique. Children gather and sell bunches of these strings in local markets
